Tried making a Japanese favourite - whisky highball. Just whisky + soda water. The point of it is to get the taste of the whisky without having too much of it and is usually served as a thirst quencher or palate cleanser.
I haven't figured what sort of whisky goes well with this mix. It needs to be sweeter, smoother and less oakey /smokey for me. Have you tried a whisky highball? What whisky do you like it with?
